IRGC Commander Fadavi: Iran Fears No Threats from Enemies
WANA (Mar 28) – Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Ali Fadavi, stated that the leaders of Iran’s adversaries have recently made threats against the country, but the vigilant Iranian nation remains unfazed.
Fadavi emphasized that battling enemies is a divine duty, adding, “A nation that embraces martyrdom does not fear death.”
He further highlighted the growing military strength of the Islamic Republic, asserting that Iran’s armed forces have significantly advanced since the early years of the revolution, with their power increasing daily.
Fifth Column and Media Warfare
Fadavi warned that enemy infiltration through economic, cultural, and media warfare remains a critical challenge, necessitating heightened vigilance.
Reaffirming his stance against negotiations with the U.S., he stated, “America’s hostility toward Iran stems from our religious beliefs, and under such circumstances, talks with the U.S. are meaningless.”
Divine Victory and the Legacy of Resistance
Fadavi described the success of the Islamic Revolution and the perseverance of the Iranian people as a divine blessing, asserting that fulfilling religious and revolutionary duties ensures ultimate victory.
He praised the sacrifices made in defense of the nation, recalling that during the eight-year Iran-Iraq war, battles took place on Iranian soil. However, by the 1990s, conflicts extended over 1,000 kilometers beyond Iran’s borders, making them even more challenging.
Honoring the Legacy of Defenders
Commemorating Operation Fath ol-Mobin and the sacrifices of Iran’s war martyrs, Fadavi underscored the crucial role played by fighters and commanders from Dezful in the operation.
He concluded by emphasizing that God’s promise of the triumph of truth over falsehood is unbreakable, stating that the once inexperienced young soldiers of the Iran-Iraq war have since become seasoned military experts, successfully countering enemy tactics for decades.
